Control vs leadership When do we lose it?

(English version below)

A coffee $14
A Coffee please $12
Good morning, a coffee if you'd be so kind $9

When is it that we lose control?

Some say that we've never had it, that it is all an illusion...
Some say that we lose control when we lose discipline of the ship...
Some others, when we lose conviction...

In relative rathern than absolute terms and based on a few experiences, both personal and close, I've reached the conclussion (partial, that is) that it is all of the above. LEt me elaborate a bit.

In our ucrrent civilization, enterprises emerge from a hybrid leadership model, like the one taight in Harvard, and the likes and are published in tons of, places... combined with the feudal, or worse, slavitude, inherited from our ancestors, though many and despite many will try and deny this, it still exists. And I'm not going to go all utopic-revolutionary on you now, but I am diving in.

Truth is that us humans are both, on the one side, ruthless and competitive. On the other, scared little kittens. This is insde each and every one of the 7 billion humans alive today, undobtedly. Given the circumstances, we shift onto one or the other, unavoidably.

To crerate a group, as ruthless as we may be, alone versus The World scares anyones' pants off. Thus we take leadership measures. This may be either in the form of conviction or in the form of fear. Usually and I am saying 99.9% is a combination of both. And it is a disgrace that a vast majority is based on fear...

Every business need a certain degree of control, for the larger the ship, less control we will have over it. It is a basic human principle, well described by Doctor Adizes teachings. If our enterprise is a single persons', easy, we need enough self discipline to do what is needed to be done, or no one will do it... Isn't that so?

When we aquire a few employees, it is easy to convince them that they need to do their part for the group's good, to get to the objective, etc... But as the businesses prosper, unavoidably we need to put rules in place, because if we don't each "donkey will run to each his own". And when businesses become bureaucracies filled with uncomplrihensible, unlearnable and unfollowable rules... pretty much as every corporation or governments... unavoudably we get absurds.

It is way too easy to fall in reigns of terror, both to create them and to live in them. Our human nature is very easily controled by fear.  "You'll be poor", "in jail", you'll lose your job", you'll be left homeless", etc, etc... There are well founded perils and it is my everyday job to inform and to try and solve, if at all possible. But what it is far from fair is to slave us, either exterior or interior fears.

It is said that one key factor to Adolph Hitler's loss was his control obsession. It is said that no one could do anything without reporting to central control and no one had all the information needed nor the complete orders, thus they{d catch the traitor, whomever had the complete set of orders without authorization, or whatever... We now know that Hitler was a complete paranoid and control freak... General Patton used to say: "Tell the troops what to do, but not how to. You'll be amazed at their creativity for you."

If we are in a business, we ought to be out of {any} conviction. We must never allow our {any} fear control us. If it is our business, we cannot let ourselves create a reign of terror, crating fears on our employees just to control them. We need huge cojones to realize how we rule or lead, and second to do something good about it. It gives us terror to lose control, and paradoxically, that makes us lose control.

If we "lead" a business creating fear to control, unavoidably we will lose control because people will start by freezing then mutiny. Believe me dear readers. It is way too easy to fall in those traps. I've seen that far too many times. Which reminds me the joke: "I lost my Twitter so |I started yelling on the street... I now have two followers, but I'm starting to believe one of them is the police..."

In the extreme absurd, and I am not going into the history books though there lies the explanation, we see it every day on the news: 2 years ago, for example, they started talking about Syria, non-stop without anybacking or {reasonable} explanation, the whole world was Syria, that is, until they erased from the map. Irak has disssapeared since almost nobody talks about it anymore... Afghanistan...

30 years it was the USSR, for 15 years China and 8 Iran... In my neck of the woods it is druglords and congressmen as if my whole country was that... Anyway, made me think... I started by turning off the news as for starters it was extremely boring, and, Why would I allow so much created fear for things I cannot do anything about them, even if thy were all true?  What I need to know, I look for, gets to me, corroborate, etc. That's it. My own little mutiny. What if Everyone did it? What control would they have over us then?  Why don't more people turn it off? Easy: They have led us to believe we need them= control.

The media (or whomever) has the right to yell {anything} on the street, mine is to walk away.
